Pro Golfing Coach Sues In $1 Million Defamation Case
Coach Of U.S. Amateur Champ Has Reputation Injured. One of the world’s top professional golfing coaches, known for maneuvering around golf courses, is now having to sue, and maneuver around a South African court of law. to protect his family name.
Bert Seale, is most famously known for training Matt Kuchar, a Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour player, who won the U.S. Amateur Golf title in 1997, succeeding Tiger Woods.
Seale is now suing Malan Smal, from South Africa, for disseminating false information about Seale, claiming Seale owes him rent and other falsehoods, calling him Bert Seale Fraud. Seale is filing his suit in both Florida and South Africa concurrently.
According to ESPN, in 2012 “A federal judge has ordered boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to pay about $114,000 for avoiding questioning from rival fighter Manny Pacquiao's lawyers in a defamation case.”
Pacquiao, had alleged that Mayweather defamed him by suggesting Pacquiao used performance-enhancing substances. "Calling a professional athlete a cheater is the most serious charge one can make," the lawsuit said.
Now Seale, a professional athlete himself, with more than 33 years of experience as a professional golfer is similarly falsely accused
According to Yahoo Sports, WWE senior ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann filed a defamation lawsuit against CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks) and Colt Cabana

(real name Scott Colton) on Thursday in a Chicago court for comments that were made on “The Art of Wrestling” podcast last November that "repeatedly and falsely impugned his integrity" as a doctor. Dr. Amann is seeking more than $1 million in compensatory damages and an undisclosed amount in punitive damages. Cabana, the real-life best friend of CM Punk, is the host of "The Art of Wrestling."

Bonnie A. Zeigler alleges in a lawsuit filed in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court that the commenters defamed her on the internet during conversations about WMU football coach P.J. Fleck.
Seale feels he has no other recourse than to take legal council action to protect his brand and his family name.
. "I never really talked about how I helped Matt Kuchar because I respect his privacy and I don’t like to blow my own horn,” Seale said in another interview. In order to protect his successful reputation, Seale must now file this lawsuit.
